ABOUT ME

I'm a nomadic Irish guy and have no idea where I'm going to end up. I've travelled a lot already and love to learn whatever I can about wherever I am so I really enjoy meeting locals there and trying to get an insight into the culture. I've act5ually recently become travel editor of a magazine in Manchester and am hoping to use the role to facilitate me travelling a lot more in the future. Other than travelling I love going out with friends (like everybody) and enjoy the same host of activities as other people. I also am really into photography and love observing people and just soaking in everything that's around me.

PHILOSOPHY

I haven't really given my personal philosophy much consideration but I've seen a lot of things and am very liberal so I'll go for something like 'live and let live'. I don't really care what anyone gets up to as long as they're not bothering other people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've couchsurfed before but my living situation here is a bit too complicated to have people stay in my apartment (my housemates are opposed to it so I'm outnumbered). I should be moving out soon though so hopefully I can expand my involvement thereafter. If it's possible I'd be happy to meet with people and show them the locality or give them advice for their stay in wherever I might be.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've actually done homestays in various places and have lived in a few different countries as well so am pretty aware of what couchsurfing involves. That said, I've only started using this site recently so am kind of new to the dynamics of how it works. I'm hoping to build on it though and I'm always up for meeting interesting people.

Interests

I love to travel obviously. I enjoy reading and writing and I really like clubbing as well. Clubs in Manchester are excellent and after having lived in Berlin I'm now really into electro and minimal techno nights.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favourite books would include: Memoirs of a Geisha; various works by Oscar Wilde - amazing Irish author, The Time Traveller's Wife, To Kill A Mockingbird etc etc. Music wise I like various types of dance and electro music and occasionally like indie nights out.
