PHILOSOPHY

i myself am a very shy person so my move to NY 4 years ago was a big step for me and pushed me to be more open to all opportunities and step out of my comfort zone. so here i am again, a new surrounding, starting from zero. so i try to live my life with the idea that you have to try to do the things that scare you because maybe in the end they won't be so scary. and my favorite saying is "to the stars on the wings of a pig" - which for me means try the impossible no matter how impossible and you might just get somewhere and make it possible.

i've never couchsurfed myself but have hosted a few couchsurfers before when i was living in NY. one was a friend who was visiting from oregon, another was a family friend who is from Vienna, and the other was a girl who i had never met but was a friend of a friend and turned out to be really cool! it's always

movies, running, bikram yoga, finding new restaurants to eat at, taking my dog on nice walks, going to concerts, DESSERT!!! pretty much anything as long as it's not jumping out of a plane or bungee jumping

Music, Movies, and Books

love most types of music (indie pop, 90's r&b - my guilty pleasure, 80's, dance pop), same goes for movies. i love most movies and am down to watch any EXCEPT romantic girly films (i think i'm the only girl that didn't like the notebook) or gory horror movies that keep me up at night - watching freddy krueger when i was 7 traumatized me for life. and although this doesn't fall into the movie category, can we get a big HELLO for game of thrones?! i'm addicted now! books - favorites are john steinbeck books, kurt vonnegut, just read catcher in the rye (best!), water for elephants, most of mario vargas llosa - i read a lot!
