ABOUT ME

I work in the construction industry-- its what I do, not who I am. I'm easy going, clean, spontaneous, don't mind partying on the weekend, I work during the week, so 5;30am comes really quick when you lay down at 2am! I occupy myself with thinking of ways to get out of work and traveling the world. Somehow, someday....

PHILOSOPHY

I have come to appreciate the small things in life.. I have no interest in riches, no interest in obtaining more material things--- NONE of those can replace what I see and live. I believe the best things in life really are free, you just have to know how to find them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I learned about CS a couple years ago and decided to give it a try while traveling thru Europe. I discovered that people are generally nice and generous everywhere you go. I imagine there are some not so nice ones, but I'm fortunate enough to not have encountered one yet.

Interests

I have many interests... I enjoy the city I live in, taking the ferry across the bay and enjoying a day on the beach.. I like to spend time being silly with my daughter and having fun doing nothing. I scrapbook photos, I love pictures, I love antiques, I love making old things new !

My favorite film??? the list is long !! But here is a short list of films I like:

Casablanca, Gone With the Wind, Il Postino, La Dolce Vita, Memoirs of a Geisha, Avatar, Pretty in Pink, Schindlers List, Shawshank Redemption, StarWars, The Godfather, Pane e Tulipani, Cinema Paradiso, 7 Years in Tibet, The Last Emperor, Ciao Professore, A Walk To Remember, Twilight, 16 Candles, The Breakfast Club, Batman:The Dark Knight, The Last Airbender.

Books?? Chinese Cinderella, The Picture Bride, Memoirs of a Geisha, The Golden Shard, Snow Flower & The Secret Fan, The Bonesetters Daughter, Joy Luck Club. In Spanish my 2 favorite books are: Juan Salvador Gaviota and Volando Sobre El Pantano... Also Poesias de Pablo Neruda,Twilight Series, Anything by Nicholas Sparks.

Music ?? ALL kinds, especially classical & jazz, blue grass, country, Santana, the list is endless. I also like Spanish ballads.. I like to listen to classical guitar as well.
