ABOUT ME

I am a man with a love for writing, travelling, music and languages.

I went on a life changing Eurotrip last May-June 2016 and now I'm back in 2022!

People and cultures intrigues me.

Cats are my obsessions and I love the smell of fresh brewed coffee.

I am a social butterfly when it comes to travelers. Partly because I worked at a backpackers' hostel and listening to their travel stories jolts my imagination.

Therefore, it is no surprise that I have such an insatiable wanderlust. I want to travel around the world, meet as many people as possible and to learn about their various cultures.

I want to travel the world. That is my life goal.

I never had one, ever! So I hope I will have do one when I travel again.

It would be cool if someone's willing to host me somewhere.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nothing much really.

1. Performed at a theatre for my own graduation

2. Performed at a musical graced by the President of
Singapore

3. Speaks Dutch after being a self-taught student for close to 6 years

4. Traverses through a forest to catch the best view ever from a cave.

5. Climbed up and into the crater of Mt Ijen to witness the Blue Sulphur Flames

6. Witnessed the sunrise from Mt Bromo.

7. Paragliding in the highlands of Puncak, Bogor.

8. Hiked down from Hohen Kasten in Switzerland

9. Made an entire cabin full of Germans laugh

10. Climbed the Eiffel Tower

11. Self-taught German student since November 2014

12. Amased an international network of friends from around the world during my 2 years at the hostel

13. Drinking tea at Cameroon Highlands

14. Mediated and translated arguments between the Dutch/Germans and Indonesians during my travels in Java

15. Saying Servus and Moin Moin at the right time

16. Eating Döner Kebap in Germany when everything was closed during Christelhimmelfahrt

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I can teach Bahasa Indonesian and Bahasa Melayu!

I am a native when it comes to these 2 languages.

Also, I am quite familiar with the traditional games of the Malay/Indonesian people.

Ever heard of Chapteh ?

Well of course not! I can bring em with me and teach you how to play them.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can also share my wealth of experience about Singapore, the best food to eat here etc. In addition, I can share insights through an Asian perspective, specifically South East Asian.
