About Me
Hello!
Being open to new, I live to become better and thereby make the world better. I'm surrounded by so many things: some of them take and some of them give, keeping the balance. But I believe they all ultimately enrich me, regardless of their good or bad nature. I also believe that by the development of individuals we can create a happier, more equal society, in which everyone will be able to find their best self. I long for travel because this is how I can acquire a better understanding of who I am and who I should strive to be.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
- I want to get acquainted with people from various countries, get the feel of their life there;
- I want to explore new places and cities, gain experience;
- I want to analyze and compare, learning about countries first-hand.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
My taste is a changeable thing. Among the bands/performers that come to my mind first at this point, are:
Mobi, The doors, Boombox, Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, Madrugada, Jefferson Airplane, Shortparis, Joy Division, Lebanon Hanover, Lescop, AnnenMayKantereit.
Books:
Currently reading (with struggles!) the Harry Potter series in Deutsch; But re favorite books, I don't have any. There were many I liked, but I cannot say there was one special book that magically changed me!
I have a few favorite authors, though: J.L Borges, Yurii Andruchowycz, Hermann Hesse, Allen Ginsberg, Steven Jesse Bernstein, Ezra Pound, Charles Bukowski.
Movies:
Here are some of my favorite ones: The Seventh Seal, The Bad Lands, The Incendies, It's Only the End of the World, La Haine, The Parasites, Solaris, Ulysses's Gaze.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Does losing my identity document abroad, when I needed it most, count? :D I mean, this is an example of AMAZING stupidity ;)
But seriously, the extent of your amazement at my comments here will depend on your own life experience. No, I haven't jumped with a parachute just yet, although would it be really amazing? I figure having been to the North Pole would sound awesome! But I haven't been to! Nor have I been to the outer space ;) So, this is how I can turn the " what I have DONE" section to "what I haveN'T done" section.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd be delighted to share stories about my life in Ukraine and my travels.
Also, I'd love to learn about your local customs and traditions! I'd want to learn your language (at least, a couple of phrases).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my company and time. If it's a few days stay, I can spare my time on helping you with house chores, walking out dogs, looking after kids, etc.
I can teach you Ukrainian and Russian, as well as do some intellectual conversation. Perhaps, you do not expect a lot from a 19 y.o girl in that regard, but I would be happy if you gave me a chance - Politics, History, Philosophy, Literature, Cinematography - all are compelling and of particular interest to me.
