About Me

I am 19 years old, and have lived in The United States my whole life. After saving up money for the last couple of years I have decided to take time off from school and experience the world and all it has to offer. My goal is to gain some perspective and become open to each opportunity that comes my way.

I enjoy: Traveling, dancing, poetry, biking, cooking meals and enjoying them with others, listening to street musicians, psychedelic experience, meaningful conversation, and spontaneous art of any kind

I sing, play the guitar, flute, fiddle, washboard, work with clay, write, study film photography, dabble in film, and make collages.

In school I am studying anthropology and the arts. My concentration in anthropology is female and gender dynamics within cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Seeking to learn more about the world around me, want to get to know open minded people with wildly different perspectives than my own, get to know the local culture and the local people, and to practice my Spanish while helping others practice their english.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Participated in the #NiUnaMenos March in Buenos Aires. Before going to this march, I had never participated in any protests although I had always had the desire to. This experience has absolutely gotten me hooked into looking for local rallies and marches where people gather together to make their voices heard as a collective group.

Teach, Learn, Share

"We are all creators. We breathe. To speak is to form breath and to make manifest sound into the world. As I write I create myself again and again. Re‐Create. And breathe. And I see that I am not one voice, but many: all colors, all sounds, all fears, all loves."
~Joy Harjo

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help hosts practice and learn english, share my cultural experiences and perspectives. Moderate cooking skills, a helpful hand- especially when it comes to cleaning, and unjudgmental ears.

While traveling I have gained so much, had so many brilliant opportunities and experiences. People have been so generous and kind. It is my intention to pay back that goodness and to give back what I can.
