Overview
About Me
I grew up in NE Ohio. Spent my early 20's traveling the USA. Received a BFA in sculpture from Ohio University. From there I studied landscaping and construction, organic farming, mushroom cultivation, and now I am working on synthesizing my many interests wherever I go. I have spent most of my adult life doing work trade, living with families, performing various services, from housekeeping, construction, landscaping, farming, and processing agricultural products. One of my greatest loves in life is to learn new skills and have new experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel, and prefer to do it in a way that allows me to meet new people without spending lots of money on boring sterile rooms. I also believe that humans helping humans is the past and the future of our species. Couch surfing is one way to live this ideal in tangible way.
Interests
Nature and the web of life are my two greatest loves. I also enjoy making art, primarily in the realm of basket weaving, fiber arts, as well as natural building and living plant installations. I am interested in many forms of fermentation, from vegetables to beverages. I enjoy wildcrafting, gardening, growing healthy food and soil, cultivating fungi, compost and seed saving. I am a scavenger by nature and enjoy working with natural materials. I have some limited knowledge of herbal medicine, and know what I know about plants in my bio-region.
