One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was with a friend traveling from Bulgaria to Romania.
We were at a border town looking for a way to cross the border.
We searched the web and found out that taxis cost 50 Euros and in order to get to the border all we got to do is walk for 1km on a bridge, so far so good.
We started walking on the bridge on a very narrow walkway which was probably aimed for maintenance workers.
After couple of minutes we started noticing that drivers are looking at us and laughing, but we have already started walking.
Also, we were not going to collaborate with taking 50 Euros for couple of minutes driving, and new medical research found that laughter increases the lifespan so we could both save 50 Euros and put couple of days into the pool of Bulgarian drivers lifespan which is the moral thing to do.
So we walked, and walked, and walked some more.
The 1km we though we were going to walk turned into 2 which turned into 3 and after 1 hour of walking 3.5km in a bridged of shame we crossed the Danube.
After we crossed the bridge a we were noticed by a border control guy who thought we are illegal immigrants or something.
He asked us for our passport and clarification for what happened and after laughing at us with his colleagues he let us go on our way.
