Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to meet people from different nationalities, learn about their culture, listen to their stories, share experiences, and hopefully form lasting friendships.

Interests

I enjoy travelling and (even though I don't get to do it as often as I'd want). Cooking and Reading are sort of therapeutic activities for me. I'm quite picky when it comes to movies, but in general sci-fi, comedies (also stand up and sketches), and epics are the kind of movies I tend to watch. Ancient history interests me because it is key in discovering why we are here. New technologies and current affairs are of interest because they are what defines the future that our children will live in.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to all sorts of music, but I absolutely love Coldplay. When it comes to movies I like fantasy, sci-fi, comedy.., my favourite movie of all time is probably Cloud Atlas (I've watched it more than 5 times). I read widely.. I have an ebook collection of maybe 500 + books, plus there's always a book or magazine lying around the house.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've experienced (recently) is the birth of my son, Faraji. We hadn't planned on it but it happened that I was in the delivery room when my wife gave birth to him. It was one of the most intense, exhilarating and rewarding moments in my life. I'm glad I was in that room.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A roof over their heads. Tasty home cooked meal (or take-out). Fairly good conversation. Entertainment in the form of Books, Music, Movies etc. I can also act as a guide around town if need be.
