Hey! My name is Isaac Eng and I am a half-Chinese Canadian living in Shanghai, China.
I'm looking to make a trip to the Australia during the Chinese New Year in February!

I am a violinist and music teacher working in Shanghai, China.
I love my job and meeting new people from different cultures.
Right now I'm learning to speak Mandarin... 很难但是我喜欢学习！

I spend my free time playing and listening to live music as well as seeing dance, theatre and stand up shows.
My band just released an album if you wanna listen just search our name "Dahaha" or the record name "DaKou Radio" on iTunes, Spotify or Bandcamp!

I have a minor in philosophy so I enjoy learning and talking about big ideas like ethics, religion and politics in a non-confrontational way.
When I've got the spare time I'm really into video games as I play them online to connect with my friends back home.

I've travelled a lot with my family but never solo besides a weekend in NYC!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My cousin is an avid traveller and super social guy who told me all about his couchsurfing experiences as a surfer in Europe and as a host in Montreal.
I'm hoping to plan a trip this coming February to Australia and am looking to meet some friendly people to travel and play music with by his recommendation!
