About Me

Hey! My name's Isaac, I'm from Melbourne (Naarm), Australia!

At uni I studied sustainability and international studies, so I love learning about all the unique quirks that make up different cultures. The last few years I’ve been working at a bouldering (rock climbing) gym in Melbourne. I've spent a bit of time living overseas - having been lucky enough to go on two exchange programs: to northern Italy in high school, and to Sweden during university. I've also been able to do a few trips to different parts of Asia (Vietnam, India, Japan), as well as plenty of travel around Australia and New Zealand. I absolutely cherish these experiences, and have learnt so much from the people that I have met and lived with during these times.

I’m travelling around Europe until December - currently in Bohuslan, on the west coast of Sweden!

I'm always looking to learn, and I get a real kick out of sharing my own culture with the friends I meet while travelling. Will happily cook a shared meal, play any card or board game or go out to explore nature nearby!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because I love to experience a culture from within whenever possible as I travel. The people I meet while overseas are time again the most memorable parts of my travels, and so getting to know people through couchsurfing appeals to me for this reason.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can give you travel tips for Australia or anywhere else I’ve been, or teach you the best card game in the world (I’m biased). If you’re interested, we could also go bouldering and I can give you a 101 crash course at the gym or the crag! I love learning recipes from friends, hearing about epic hikes and climbing destinations, and sharing all the odd similarities and differences about growing up in different places.
