Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I went hitchhiking in 2014, and it was far more fun than I've ever had on public transport, because a huge part of it is getting to know the person giving you a ride, getting a glimpse at a random different human's life and sharing it with them for a stretch of road. it feels so much better to repay the favour with food or fuel than to simply have bought a coach ticket. and couchsurfing is, I guess, the equivalent in alternatives to hostels or hotels - instead of paying for a packaged product, you are invited into someone's life briefly. I love stuff like this that encourages human connection - community and friendship is what life is all about, in a way. so that's why I'm looking to couchsurf and hopefully host couchsurfers in the future!

quite a good cook and enjoy cooking, so could buy & prepare hosts meals.
am happy to share use of anything I have on me while couchsurfing.
also I'm quite good company apparently
