About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To punctuate my life with experiences that make the whole of it worthwhile.
ABOUT ME
I am a disillusioned academic, rebelling against my roots and going headfirst into a live of adventure and the outdoors. I hope to be a synthesis of theory and praxis: experiencing the world firsthand, then stepping away and evaluating these experiences in order to establish my own values, only to go back into the world with new insights. Ebb and Flow. I like learning and am always willing to question my assumptions.
PHILOSOPHY
I am an existentialist. I think that meaning is not given but something you create. Life is painful, difficult, and brutal, but brief moments of passion and creativity affirm the rest of it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet other open-minded people, to share and exchange ideas. I have found people on couchsurfing to be consistently interesting, intelligent, generous, trustworthy.

What I Can Share with Hosts
One of my golden rules is to leave things better than I found them, whether this is somewhere I'm camping or hiking, somewhere I'm working or sleeping, or even just my time on the earth itself. I try to be a steward of any place I am staying. I like to hear about other people's beliefs, and when possible I give insight that can help them have a clearer and perhaps deeper understanding of their own philosophies and views.
