Overview
About Me
I grew up in beautiful British Columbia on a small island covered in trees with beautiful beaches and views of the mountains. I love learning from experiences, I think it is the best way to attain knowledge and wisdom, a far better resource than information from a textbook!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to meet new people and exchange cultures, traditions and habits. It seems like a great way to travel affordably and make new and lasting connections with like minded people.
Interests
I love nature, hiking, kayaking camping and all the natural world has to offer in terms of beauty. I have a keen interest in history and that was one of the reasons I decided to come to Europe, the culture and architecture in this part of the world is old and rooted in the people and place. Canada doesn't have such a physical history and perhaps that is why I crave it.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like a broad spectrum of music from classic rock to reggae, hip-hop to funk and everything in between. I believe any music recorded with passion and not for consumption or monetary gain will appeal to most people.
I like many different books as well, fiction is a great means of escape and serves to occupy your mind with other issues, relationships and places. I also like nonfiction, especially historical accounts from the classical world. The works of generals, philosophers and common through the ages serve to show us the common thread in history is human experience.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Met an Italian Countess by chance and was invited to see the view of San Antonio from her balcony.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to share all my experiences and hear about yours. Ways of preparing food, cultural customs, my home and stories from my past.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A good attitude and graciousness for being welcomed into your home. Willing to help out, I have no problem washing the dishes! And definitely bring a bottle of wine to say thank you!
