About Me

I am Isaac Ssamba, Founder and Proprietor of SunTrack Adventures, Nomads Home and The Beacon of Hope Foundation.

The Beacon of Hope Foundation is a community based development and humanitarian service organization in Mukono, Uganda founded in 2006.

SunTrack Adventures is a tours and safari company offering affordable ethical memorable tours and Safaris across East Africa, specializing in Uganda.

Nomads Home is a bed and breakfast guesthouse, located in Kalagi, Mukono, Uganda. Our home is open to both courchsurfers, backpackers, tourists and volunteers serving in Uganda or anyone who would like to visit Uganda and live in a cosy family run guesthouse outside the city chaos.

The home is situated in Mukono along the Gayaza-Kayunga road and about 20 minutes’ drive from Mukono town central business centre and 45mins from Kampala city via Gayaza.

Mukono is a rapidly expanding city about 45 minutes from Kampala and 60 minutes away from Jinja town- the adventure capital of Uganda. Our home is a great place to hang your hat and rest your weary bones….. and getting ready to enjoy and explore fascinating Uganda.

Located in a humble neighborhood of Kalagi town, we are nestled away from all the noise of the big town, but close enough to quickly get you back to downtown to sight see or party at the pubs and clubs until the birds are chirping.

Our home offers:

Wi-Fi
Fully Equipped Kitchen
Special trips can be arranged (Safaris, wildlife adventures, treks, etc)
Mountain Bikes to rent
Camping tents for hire
Families are welcome.
Car for hire

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new friends and making connections. I just don’t get satisfied with meeting only people of my area and it’s the reason behind the set up my home as a guesthouse for courchsurfers and general travelers to broaden our horizons in making friends from other countries and meet people from different cultures and backgrounds.

My home is a great place to relax after the intense experiences of the day, a place to chat while having a beer or two, to rest, watch TV or go for a walk around the neighborhood. From the home, I can help arrange trips and expeditions around the country.
