About Me

I am a curious and adventurous Homo sapiens sapiens from Portugal with a hint of Peter Pan complex. I grew up in Madeira, and my life has taken me to live in the far west of New Mexico, US to most recently Greece. I am always looking for the next trip to dwell in different cultures and be a wannabe Anthony Bourdain but with a better liver.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think Couchsurfing reflects my philosophy of travelling as I despise the hotel living and lay by the pool all day. I like to completely immerse myself in the culture and understand it from a personal and intimate perspective. Normally if I travel to visit a friend I like to explore their city how they live in and see it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all types of music, it can range from Bach, to Astor Piazzolla to Beyonce.
So many movies, let's see... my latest filmes that I loved were "Arrival", "Moonlight", "Call me by your name", Harry Potter movies are always a classic.
Regarding books, "fifty shades of grey" is a classic.... NOT.
"God of small things", "KPax", "The world of Sophie", and any animal encyclopedia, among others...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is a hard one. I see life as one step at a time, and that includes my accomplishements at a time. However, I would say being able to be apart of United World Colleges, is still today one the things I am most proud and life changing/shaping/saving/shaker. Its core value on multidiversity and sustainability anthem solidified my core.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think when we share, its a give and take away. Thus we learn and we teach . I can share my life experiences with you. I would like to learn about your story of life and about the history and the place we are in. In terms of teaching, it depends on what you are interested in, it can be salsa or some words of a foreign language, or some random advice an old relative has given me, or life gained ocean lessons.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will always bring respect and share some treats (!!) and hopefully easy going company.
