Overview
About Me
I'm just another American college student who wants to see the world! In the fall, I'll be headed to Leuven, Belgium for study abroad, and I'm hoping I'll get the chance to couch surf around Europe a bit during my time abroad. I am a huge foodie, and love to try new cuisines. I'm a social and extroverted person, and I am particularly drawn to urban areas with lots of people and cultural attractions.
I really wish that I could currently accept guests, but I am living as an RA on a first year hall at Haverford (which is fantastic... I love the community I live in!), and wouldn’t want to make any of my first years uncomfortable by bringing strangers into our living environment. Besides, I’m afraid that in a dorm room environment I wouldn’t be able to host people in the degree of comfort and hospitality that I’d like too! I look forward to the time when I live in my own place, and can put myself out there as host.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet cool people from around the world, and travel cheap in the process! In particular, I’m excited to meet and talk with people with a different world view and set of experiences who will challenge me to open up my mind and maybe see things in another way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Jumped in the ocean, in Maine, on New Year's day (temperature that day was about 15 degrees!)
Did a semester ‘abroad’ in high school at an experiential learning program in New York City, were I was encouraged to break all the rules (sometimes even laws) for the sake of learning. Don’t worry though... I promise I am a good upstanding citizen who no longer breaks into old abandoned buildings for the sake of writing a history paper.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to cook, and would be glad to make you a feast! Also, when I visit a new city I often do a lot of research about the best things to do/places to eat... maybe I’ll be able to uncover someplace cool that even you haven’t been to yet!
