Hello! My name is Isabel and I'm from Philadelphia in the USA. I just graduated from Harvey Mudd College near Los Angeles, California where I studied engineering. Although soon I hope to work as an aerospace engineer, I'm now taking a year off to explore the world. I love traveling because I love to eat and try new foods, and meet new people/explore new cultures.
In addition to having lived on both coasts of the USA, I am also Italian. My mom is from Cuneo (near Torino, in Italy) and I spent every summer there living with my nonna growing up.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I want to meet cool and friendly people from around the world. Having a local guide to show you around is the best, and I love to have that or be that person for someone. Through couchsurfing, I've gone to places I'd never heard of, tried new foods, and met amazing local people I never otherwise would have as a tourist staying in a hostel or hotel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've built a 10 foot tall two-stage rocket and launched it in the desert of California. It reached 14,000 feet!
