I`m Isabel, born September 24th, 1971, living in Karlsruhe in the south of Germany. I grew up in Weingarten, a small village close to Karlsruhe. After High School I worked as an au-pair for one year in Washington D.C., USA. Then I studied a few years in Karlsruhe to become a teacher. I was politically active in the student representation and spent two years as board of the German National Union of Students "fzs" in Bonn. As board member I represented the fzs in ESU (European Students`Union) and in the IUS (International Union of Students). Then I finally became a teacher, returned after a teacher training in the Swabian Albs to Karlsruhe and since then (2001) I live in the residential project "MiKa" in Karlsruhe. The "MiKa" is a democratic and self-governed residential project of 150 adults and 100 children living together in four big buildings. In a fith building our culture and community house is located.

I worked as teacher in different elementary schools. In the moment I`m at home - working as single mother for my three children Aaron (2004), Myriam (2007) and Luna-Mia (2010). Additionally I work freelance as massager, body therapist and Gestalt therapist.

Since 2002 I attended different pedagogical, psychological and body therapy trainings and educations. Pedagogical: Gestalt-pedagogy, theatre-pedagogy, forest-pedagogy, sexual-pedagogy. Psychological: Gestalt-therapy, Pesso-therapy, World of Inner Persons. I like reading spiritual books because I like to develop and grow. It`s a never-ending way (I think it continues even after death). In the moment I work a lot with the books of Vivian Dittmar.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have born my three children at home. That`s perhaps not amazing, but it was a wonderful experience which I would not want to miss.
