About Me
Hey!
I’m glad that you are here reading this text :)
Currently I'm back in Germany, studying psychology in Würzburg. I can offer you a place in my room if you want to stop by in Würzburg or when I'm at my parents house you can come visit in the Allgäu (near Memmingen or Kempten). Depending on wether I have time or not (let’s talk about this in advance!) I can show you around a little bit (I love going on walks) or we can cook sth together. I'm more than happy to follow your suggestions as well! I also always appreciate if you let me know some of your needs or plans in advance.
Last year (2023) I made one of my biggest trips so far.
I went to the US for three months and did some au-pairing there combined with traveling and road-tripping around a bit.
I did my 200h Yogateachertraining in Bali in May which was a dream that I fulfilled for myself. A dream I’ve had since 16 years old as I’ve started doing yoga when I was 12.
Then I went to Singapore and Malaysia a bit to then continue my travels to Thailand. I went there mainly to learn about Thai Yoga Massage which I did through attending a 12-day-course in a little village north of Chiang Mai.
After that I continued my travels to India and before returning back to Germany I went to Georgia for two weeks where I had the most amazing hitchhiking and workaway-experiences to finish my trip (for now).
My new passion is bikepacking after my trip from Kiel (Germany) to Denmark and Sweden in September 2024. Being in nature, moving and deciding the night before where I want to go next. It’s a perfect tempo in my opinion. I planned my first bikepacking trip within 1,5 weeks (I didn’t even have a bike before that) so I’m more than grateful for any tips! ;)
In general I’m super curious about different ways of traveling.
🏔️ I love hiking, exploring cities, art, yoga and I’m happiest when I meet other people, see new places and get to know different cultures. My goal always is to broaden my horizon - to learn new things. Therefore I’m most happy and grateful if you want to show me around a little bit and introduce me to your culture and surroundings. But at the same time I understand if you are busy or don’t feel like being a tourist guide. I like to explore places on my own as well.
I’ve started solo-traveling when I was 17 years old by doing workaways (working in exchange for food and accommodation).
Traveling for me is not checking things of a list, it’s about collecting experiences and making connections with and learning from people.
I want to get to know myself better while traveling. Experiencing and discovering new parts of myself that I can only see in new environments and interacting with different people.
This reflects in my way of traveling. I enjoy seeing the more touristy things but what really excites me is getting to know the culture, history and the way of living of a place away from all the sightseeing. In couchsurfing I’ve found the perfect way to do this through meeting and talking to people that live there. I’m very open about what to do, usually I don’t have plans that cannot be changed. I like exploring with the person hosting me but if you’re busy I’m totally fine doing things on my own. I have no expectations (!).
My goal is trying to adapt to the host’s lifestyle as much as I can, I’m not looking for a hotel.
Another thing you might want to know about me (if that’s not obvious already) is that I’m not a city-person. I appreciate exploring cities as a condensed way of „tasting” the vibe of a country. But my true inner nature is more connected to nature and a simple lifestyle. I can easily spend a whole day in the botanical garden or sometimes also a museum or an art gallery to escape the city-life while still being in the city.
Clear and respectful communication is super important to me. You can tell me about any rules that you have in your home or if there’s sth that I did etc. that bothered you.
On the other side I wanted to point out that I’m a very open personality and human-connections are essential to me. But I have my boundaries. Aka: Couchsurfing is not a dating-app [I had some persons interpreting friendliness and openness in a wrong way]! Staying at your home and personal space is sth I’m very grateful for. Please don’t create situations that make me feel uncomfortable in this way.
I will treat your home as respectful as if it was my own. I’m a clean, quiet person and of course I’m going to follow your wishes regarding any rules or so. I’m german - we love our rules ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
🦦 I’ve had Couchsurfing on my mind for quite some time now. Through some workaway experience (Sweden, France, Germany) I’ve seen for myself that I enjoy living with locals who know the really interesting, beautiful etc. spots around them. Things and stories you would never get to know otherwise. But most importantly I enjoy connecting to new people. Collecting „Marmeladenglasmomente“ (doesn’t really make sense in english) - unique memories and experiences - together! That’s what traveling is to me - not checking sightseeing stuff off a list I’ll forget about anyways.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read a lot. Every book that is given to me will be finished. I like novels, sometimes fantasy and any book about a topic I’d like to learn more about. Psychology and Philosophy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My first longer solo-travel-experience was when I was 17 years old. I went to Sweden by myself back then, visited Stockholm and after that I worked on an organic farm for three weeks. I’ve got to know new perspectives through a lot of open minded people from all over the world.
Hiking Grand Canyon
Yogateachertraining
Being invited by a balinese local, Jay, to stay in his village for three days. I took part in a traditional ceremony, learned about the culture, religion, some new words and local village-life in general. Jay showed me around the area and his fields (coffee-plantation, banana-/coconut-/durian-trees). One day I was helping to prepare for another ceremony. I cooked food with the local women. I was the first tourist in this village and I was amazed by the openness and heart-filled communication (even without the same language).
Spontaneous road-trip in India on a motorbike with a local.
My first (and hopefully not my last!) bikepacking trip through parts of Germany, Denmark and Sweden
Meeting people through couchsurfing! Seriously, there are so many interesting, kind people on this platform 🤍
Realizing how little I need to feel fulfilled.
Teach, Learn, Share
The thing I probably miss the most about Germany is good bread. I can show you how to make it!
I honestly enjoy listening to people.

- bodywork and yoga
- birth and death (I worked in the emergency service, as a midwife student, in a children’s hospiz and as a side-job as a mortician)
