Hi, I'm Isabel! I am a student from south Germany. I love music and art and it's mainly the reason why I travel, to go to concerts or expositions. I have a very international background, my mother is from Colombia, my father from Germany and I grew up in Mexico so I am very open to meeting new cultures and knowing knew people! I consider myself a friendly and kind person. :) I grew up mostly in Mexico in the Maya Riviera, which I believe made me a very connected to nature person. To be surrounded by such natural gems since childhood really made me apreciate what is important in life, also tourism in that area and the destruction of it has made me very conscious of the problems of the world. I think it is what has inspired me to study environmental engineer after I graduate. I love sharing people stories about my home and meeting people that apreciate nature like I do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I came to Couchsurfing because a friend of mine recommended it to me, she had good and funny experiences in Couchsurfing so I will give it a try. I hope I can say the same after my first stay. I also think the most important thing our world needs right now is sharing and compassion between people from different places. I think Couchsurfing is a good idea for this to star happening. It's a nice way to break boundaries and prejudices between cultures.

My favorite book is: Demian by Herman Hesse, I also like I am the Messenger by Markus Zuzak

I love music in general but my favorite bands are Timber Timbre and Pink Floyd. I also love electronic music and right now my favorite Dj are Extrawelt from Germany.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swimming with whale sharks in the open ocean of Mexico. Being beside the biggest fish is the most humbling experience of my life. To have these 8 meter giants and giant Manta rays swim gently beside me and actually be a little shy and curious about me really changed my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to share my stories, my points of view in different subjects and what i love exchanging the most is music. I get very excited when I learn about music I never heard before and I love it when I share my music to people and they enjoy it as much as I do.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will most likely bring you a very good chocolate and I offer to clean for everything I used during my stay so you don't have to work because of me.
