ABOUT ME

I'm quite a calm person but have my crazy moments and like to be busy which often involves spontaneous adventures. I have a huge travel bug, so explore new places at any opportunity I find. In 2014/15 I spent 15 months away including a year working holiday in Australia and Canada, Asia, the Middle East and the Caribbean. Since coming back i've settled in to the world of charity work.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couch'surfed' quite a few times now and absolutely love the entire concept, the people i've met and the lifelong friends (or should I say international family) I've made - but I also have experience of sleeping on all sorts of couches, floors, beaches, sleeper buses & trains, lecture halls, and even sleeping on a straw mattress for my 3 months in Sri Lanka - surprisingly not as bad as it sounds.

Interests

Cooking and baking, travelling and experiencing different cultures, volunteering, swimming, surfing and scuba diving. Absolutely love cycling and nature as well, whether it is hiking through mountains or relaxing on a sun-kissed beach with crystal clear water.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending 5.5 hours climbing 12000+ steps up a sacred 2400 metre mountain in Sri Lanka in flip flops, and watched the sunrise when I reached the top. It was incredible :)

Swimming with turtles and sharks whilst snorkelling during my normal working day on a boat, on the Great Barrier Reef.

I can teach you how to make my mum's famous brownie recipe.

At the moment I can only speak basic beginners spanish I learnt years ago so would love to improve if you can help with that.
