About Me

ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Isabel, from Medellín, Colombia. Living in Malta for six months.

I'm a cheerful and social woman with a love for a good sense of humor. I truly enjoy laughing, meeting new people, and having all kinds of conversations—whether it's light-hearted or something deep and meaningful. I love hearing people's stories, and I have quite a few of my own to share, too.

I enjoy simple things in life and I am a great listener. In my free time, I like to meditate, practice yoga, and read. I’m a coffee lover and a big fan of good food. Watching the sunset is one of the things I enjoy most in life.

I’m adventurous and open-minded, going through life trying to say “yes” to every opportunity, so I don’t miss out on anything the world has to offer. I’m also passionate about helping others whenever I can.

PHILOSOPHY

My life philosophy is to live with joy and curiosity, staying open to all the experiences the world has to offer and enjoying the here and now. I believe in the importance of genuine connections, helping others, and appreciating the little things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love being part of the Couchsurfing community because it connects me with people from all over the world and brings unforgettable experiences. I enjoy hosting travelers when I can, helping them feel at home, and sharing local tips. I also love joining Couchsurfing events, both in my city and when I’m traveling, it’s the perfect way to meet new people, share stories, and exchange experiences. Whether as a host or a guest, I’m always excited to build connections and keep the Couchsurfing spirit alive!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I’ve been part of the Couchsurfing community for many years, although I was inactive for a while. Every experience I’ve had has been incredible—whether hosting guests, being hosted, or attending events, I’ve always met wonderful people along the way. I believe traveling becomes a completely different experience when you connect with locals or other travelers and get to spend time together. These connections make every trip more meaningful and memorable, and that’s what I love most about Couchsurfing.

Interests

I’m all about wellness and staying active! I love doing yoga, meditating, and diving into a good book. The beach is my happy place—there’s nothing like watching a sunset by the sea. I enjoy spending time in nature, going on hikes, and just chilling with a good coffee, a glass of wine, or some tasty food. I’m also into sports, so you’ll find me at the gym, running, swimming, or biking whenever I can!

Traveling is a huge passion of mine; I love meeting new people and having fresh experiences. There’s so much to learn from others, and every journey brings a new adventure!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you some basics of yoga and meditation, both are part of my routine, and I love helping others discover how relaxing they can be. I’m also happy to share what I know about my language, culture, and tips for the places I’ve traveled to. I’m super open-minded, so I’m always up for sharing ideas and talking about different perspectives.

I’d love to share great conversations over coffee or a glass of wine, explore cool local spots, or catch a sunset if we’re by the beach. I’m also excited to swap travel stories and hear about your adventures; I think those kinds of exchanges are the best part of Couchsurfing! I’m always looking for new experiences and ways to connect with people.

I’m all about learning and trying new things! I’d love to pick up more about languages, local customs, or anything you’re passionate about. Whether it’s a recipe, a song, or a local tradition, I’m in! I try to keep an open mind and believe there’s always something valuable to learn from everyone I meet.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m happy to bring a positive and open-minded energy to any home!
I can share stories from my travels and offer tips and recommendations about places I’ve visited. If you’re up for it, I’d love to spend time together—maybe we can cook a meal, or just chat over a drink. I also enjoy going out and exploring places together, but of course, only if you have the time and availability! If you have other plans or prefer some alone time, that’s totally fine too. I understand it’s never an obligation to hang out, and I’m grateful just to share your space and experience the place in my own way
