About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Life is my favourite journey :-)
ABOUT ME
CANNOT HOST till MID OCTOBER as I am hosting a friend for a while.
After a short break from CS, I am ready to host again!
Lots of things happened in my life lately:
I left my job, took some time to reorganize my life, travelled, took important decisions, moved back to Germany after more than 20 years abroad and moved on with my life on a new path. By now, I am back in Barcelona....the city I love soooo much :-)
I am open minded, respectful, independent, sociable, talkative and curious. As I myself come from a multicultural background I have always been interested in countries, people and cultures that are different from my own.
PHILOSOPHY
Live according to your convictions and don't be afraid to revise them if necessary. Life definitely is a wonderful journey!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am trying to share my own enthusiasm about this way of building new and different relations between people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Well, my first personal (quite accidental pre-couchsurfing experience!) was back in 1988, when I left Germany with a one way ticket to Cairo to visit in about 8 months as many African countries as possible. I was 23 and after getting lost in Cairo the first day and rescued by an Egyptian girl, I spent about three weeks at her home with her and her family. Still today I remember this as one of the most valuable experiences of my life. I discovered a new world, a new way of travelling and a new and better way of life.
I kept travelling a lot and I am hosting and being hosted since then and have gained wonderful and long-lasting friendships.
