Why I’m on Couchsurfing

CS provides an excellent opportunity to connect with people from all around the world so easily. It's exciting to know that, wherever you are, there's a community full of like minded others to hang out with!

Interests

I'm a big fan of plant based cooking/baking (and as a nice 'side' result the eating too of course haha) and take a great interest in trying out new recipe ideas :) Indian curries are my specialty ;)

I like being amazed by the beauty of nature when hiking, diving etc and enjoy the feeling of freedom and peacefulness but I'm definitely also up for some good nights out (especially in Latin bars)! ;)

My biggest passion in general has to be traveling though. Even after many years of exploring the world I still can't get enough of seeing new places / meeting new people from all kinds of backgrounds, expanding my world views and learning about myself a bit more every time :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Dependant on my mood I like listening to Latin beats, 80s/90s, Rock'n'Roll, some Soul, Funk or Chillout, Indie and a bit of Pop, Rock, Techno and old-school hip hop :)

I like travel related books like the ones Bill Bryson writes and I love non fictional ones that take you out on an adventure in your mind. My favorites so far were the whole series of 'The Shadowhunters' and 'The adventures of Alice in wonderland' ;)
Autobiographies are also a great read.

I rarely watch TV but really enjoy National Geography and all sorts of educational documentaries especially about cultural, historical and world politics matters.
Occasionally I watch movies such as dramas or anything that makes me think ;)
If I want to relax and just really laugh any 'despicable me' movie or 'the minions' can trigger that for me!^^
