Overview
About Me
Well, describing myself is not necessarily my strong suit - I guess the qualities that most define me are my inherent curiosity and my ability to get passionate about just about anything there is. I love to travel, just as much as I enjoy meeting people and learning about them and their cultures - one of my greatest desires is to be able to travel the world one day. What else ... while I am a very driven, independent and free-spirited person, I do believe that what should matter most in life are our loved ones.
Interests
Basically everything that keeps me healthy, connects me with nature, or is an expression of human culture. Music in all its manifestations, drawing/painting, creative writing and literature, learning languages, working out, dancing, cooking, travelling (and taking lots of pictures!), meeting new people, some decent conversation over a glass of wine, hiking in the beautiful Alps, a swim in the ocean.
Oh, and kickboxing. Haha.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm an avid reader who enjoys just about anything from Bert Brecht to Charlotte Bronte. My saying is that my favorite book at any one time is the one that's currently on my nightstand. Right now, it's a collection of Poems by Pablo Neruda.
Pretty much the same goes for music, but admittedly, I have a passion for romantic and impressionistic piano music as well as rock and pop from the 1960's and 70's. Also, I'm in love with anything playable on an acoustic or western guitar since I've been playing it for over ten years now. Oh, and I'm a classically trained contralto, so I love to sing all day, every day.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Delivered a speech at the Austrian Parliament in Vienna, hiked on top of the Vesuvius to then overlook the whole Gulf of Naples, walked through the Alhambra and it's gardens in Granada, Spain.
What I Can Share with Hosts
The languages I speak. Insight into both the Italian and Austrian culture. A decent home cooked meal to enjoy each other's company. Conversation and laughter. Music.
