Overview
About Me
Live in the Metropolitan NY area and work with a government agency to promote the preservation and accessibility of local history.
I am an archivist by trade and a historian by academic pursuits. I am a curious person who loves to try new things and have fun.
I am from a half immigrant/half New York Italian family so I'm a skilled talker (unable to whisper though, sorry) and I know how to have a good time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have heard great things about couchsurfing from friends and family that feels like it would fit how I would prefer to travel.
I am not a shy person by any means, however, when I travel alone it does take a bit longer for me to break out and interact with folks in a way that interferes with having a full fledged experience
I would love to host one day as well!

Music, Movies, and Books
Huge Radiohead fan and I have my car radio set to 105.9 WQRX ( a classical station).
Movies: Anything Hitchcock, Best in Show, All That Jazz, Cabaret, Everything Everywhere All at Once
Books: The City We Became/The World We Make Duology by N.K. Jemisin, Pachinko by Min Jin Lee, and The Shining by Stephen King. The Beastie Boys Book is one of my favorite audiobooks.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to cook my specialties are Italian dishes, however, i love following a recipe or simply helping prep a meal.
I also can help hosts preserve family heirlooms, photographs, and important documents and assist with salvaging these items after a unexpected disaster.
I can also work with folks on how to conduct oral history interviews with family/community members.
Countries I’ve Visited
Bahamas, Canada, Denmark, France, Italy, Monaco
