About Me
Isabella Meo
Ciao, I’m Izzy! my mum is Singaporean and my dad is Italian, and I’ve lived 18years of my life in Beijing, China.
I did my Bachelors of Architecture in Singapore, and am currently completing my Masters in Milano. Being exposed to such diverse and contrasting cultures has made me a very curious, inquisitive and open-minded individual :)
Sidenote: I am a massive foodie, before visiting any city I will do an entire days worth of research on the origin of the local meals, most used fruits and vegetables, specific desserts and snacks etc.
I think about food 24/7 and usually (always) plan my travel routes to maximise the number of local eateries I pass by, could easily take on 5 meals per day…
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To continue expanding my knowledge of different nationalities and their unique cultures, habits, common sayings, recipes, music etc., and to share mine as well!

Music, Movies, and Books
I grew up in a very musical household (Italian summers don’t go a day without music) so I usually spend the weekends jamming out on the piano, guitar and violin with friends and family.
I love listening to live music, particularly jazz, bossa nova and reggae, and will stop to sing and dance (completely sober) whenever the opportunity allows for it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can *attempt* to serenade you and other guests on the piano, bake ricotta cheesecake, teach you Chinese or Italian (or both), and offer fun facts about etymology and food history (my recent obsessions).
