ABOUT ME

I've just finished my gap year in Europe, and moved to Sydney to study Commerce and Design whilst teaching sailing!

PHILOSOPHY

I'm always on the move, and have lived in every state and territory in Australia except one. I think the longest I've lived in a house would be just 2 and a half years. I love to move and to travel because I think that's what keeps life interesting. Once you know a place well enough, it's time to move on, because you can always come back, and you'll always keep in contact with your true friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

So far I've surfed with thirteen different hosts in Paris, London, Zagreb, Budapest, Vienna, Prague, Krakow, Hamburg, Helsinki, Stockholm, Berlin, and Zermatt. Each host has been fantastic in their own way (bar one bad experience) and I don't think there's any other way to travel alone!

Last year, I also travelled Europe as an exchange student, and a Workaway volunteer, as well as sometimes relying on the kindness of new friends for a night or two.

Although I'm very busy with study/work and may not always be able to host, I can usually find some time to show you around a bit of my beautiful city! I think this community is such a fantastic way to meet travellers and make new friends all over the world.

• Sailing - I race dinghies and teach kids to sail
• Scuba diving - I'm a Rescue diver who's dived around 4 different countries
• Skiing - yes, there is snow in Australia!

• Hanging out with animals - they're like little people who always like you
• Hanging out with friends - who doesn't like it?
• Webcomics - they make informative funny
• Drawing and painting - I'm not very good, but I'm learning
• Using too many exclamation marks
• Chips - Best food ever.

Movies: Things with good plot lines, great acting, and something special.
Some of my favourites: Spirited Away, Zoolander, Battle Royale, Fight Club, [500] Days of Summer, Sin City, Casino Royale, Finding Nemo, American Psycho
TV shows: my favourites are probably Survivor, Firefly, and True Detective, and Dexter!

Books: Watchmen - Alan Moore; A Clockwork Orange - Anthony Burgess; 1984 - George Orwell; Death Note - Tsugumi Ohba.

Music: It's a big part of my life, I'm always searching for new artists and new songs. I like anything within the indie/altenative genre.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

• A 10-day ocean crossing from Port Vila, Vanuatu; to Brisbane, Australia
• Cage diving with great white sharks in Port Lincoln, South Australia
• Exploring ancient caves in the Australian outback
• Running from a boiling sauna to a frozen lake in Finland
