Hey,
i'm isabelle and i am a german medical student living in seattle. before i moved here,i lived „tief im westen"(bochum) as we say in germany after traveling,moving and living in different cities.
my dad worked for the german embassys which is why i was born in germany,grew up in london,budapest,trier,berlin,seattle and was raised by my american mother(YES,i do have two passports!).
the only constant thing in my life was ballet/acting(i was on a german childrens show growing up as a child actress and attended 5+6 th grade in ballet school at PNB seattle ) before returning to germany,hating the schoolsystem and just quitting school at the age of 15,moved out and started my acting studies at folkwang university of arts.
here i am now 4 years later with a BA and just started my medical studies in seattle after the arts and dramas at folkwang university and life..
random facts about me:
-i have gotten my next six year travel wish list down and my most favorite countries right up there are kosovo,serbia and tanzania!
-i have had a fake tacky bachelorette party because i never would want a real one and this was just so much more fun
-i like pepperoni pizza without pepperoni
-i always hang random things from my lamps
-i have parties in the broom closet with my friends(its so good..tape aluminum foil to the walls,get ghetto blaster and disco light..its your own personal own music non assholes around-club)
-everyone is always so surprised by my on point perfectionistic organisation,planning and keeping things clean skills....i wonder why that is?!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

i myself was so dependent on great people who trusted me and opened their doors for me during my acting-years. now that i am studying something more "mainstream"(which makes me happy as hell) i have a more constant and lively home to offer towards others.
on the otherhand i am also more able to travel for pleasure and less for work-which does bring the one downer that no agent or production manages a fancy hotel room for me. so here i am,living the student life with low cash but the immense will to meet new people,cities,places and lifes.

i just received one of the most inspiring books for my birthday:
its called "1000 peace women" which was a 2005 project by a swiss organisation to nominate 1000 women from 150 countries around the world for the nobel prize. they are all printed in this heavy but beautiful book.

i love showing people around my hood. i currently am between two living situations which means i am sadly unable to host anyone but hope this will change latest by fall 2018. i love seattle and know my way around though,so hit me up if you are in town and need a tour guide or anything else!
