Hi there,

I'm Isabelle, currently traveling the US and taking a break from my job as a social worker back in Germany. After mainly growing up in Germany I've decided to be closer to my family in the US so I packed my backpack and came to Michigan and I have been staying with my grandparents for some time now. I love being here but I'm also curious about other places in the States so I will be traveling around. In the past I have couchsurfed before (especially in Costa Rica. Back then we were using my friends acoount. Now I finally decided to have my own).
The last couple of years I have been spending more time making art and also showing and selling it. I would like to use my time US in order to explore, meet people and create artwork. I would love to hang out with other artists, take classes together, or anything else creative!

Что привело меня на Couchsurfing

I'm a very curious person who enjoys meeting new people, trying new food and just being part of someones everyday life and home. I appreciate people welcoming me into their home and sharing their time with me. For me couchsurfing can "just" be spending the night somewhere but I would also love to actually get to know someone and maybe grab a drink or cook together etc.
So far I have only had amazing experiences couchsurfing in Costa Rica and other places and I would love to enjoy this way of traveling and meeting people here in the US.

Музыка, кино и книги

Lately I've been listening to more americana, folk and bluegrass music and I have also been looking into the history of country music etc. A couple of months ago I came up with idea of wanting to play the banjo..
Other than that I enjoy punk music/new wave and more alternative, indie stuff.
I like reading books by Siri Hustvedt (she always has some art references which I really enjoy) and Paul Auster. Every now and then I also like to read more academic books on social inequality, feminism etc.

I love making art with others and would like to be creative together. I will have some art supplies with me that I would be happy to share with you.
If you're an artist it would be amazing to learn about your art, techniques and experiences!
And if someone has a banjo or could teach me how to sing, that would be amazing ;)
