About Me

Hi there! I'm a 25 year old French Canadian (fully bilingual) that's spent the past six years living in Vancouver, British Columbia (with one slight Toronto hiccup - bad call). I'm just wrapping up a Master's degree on Northwest Coast archaeology, so can spend way too much time talking about intertidal shellfish cultivation. Really into saying hi to dogs on the street while avoiding making eye contact with their humans.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet some cool people, to discover the best bars/restaurants/whatever spots in cities, to pet some dogs. The best way to discover a place is getting advice from people who know and love it. I also just love showing Vancouver off - it's my favourite place in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

All books, especially anything by Jeanette Winterson. I am also currently spending a lot of time talking about how much I liked the last Mad Max movie. Music tastes go from Folk/Americana to ambient/electro

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I grew up on three different continents - though I don't know if that's something I've done, so much as something that's been done to me? But when I was 8, living in Libreville, Gabon, my best friend was a baby gorilla named Sophie. Always beat me at climbing competitions.

Teach, Learn, Share

Traveling is a great opportunity to learn, both from hosts and from the general vibe of the city itself. I'm always very invested in knowing the city in which I live, and loving my home, which is something that I would love to share with others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good sense of humor, a willingness to listen and engage in interesting conversations, mad guac making skills, and I will buy you beer.
