About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finish school so that I can go and travel some more

ABOUT ME

I graduated from Environmental design at UQÀM university here in Mtl and i'm now doing Event design as a specialization to my degree. Trying to design every day to be lived to it's fullest is what I want to do when i'll be a grown up.

I'm spontaneous, dynamic, passionate about way too many things and curious about everything.

PHILOSOPHY

Take the time to let yourself be amazed by what surrounds you. If you can't find anything worth a smile where you are, you should ask yourself why you are in it.

"Because it's nice to be nice", that old retired man I met on the street the other day was damn right when he said that to me, after a random conversation about culture and art.

Be here, now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed for the first time this summer and loved it. I really recommend it to anyone wanting to discover the local places in the city they're in and meet interesting new people. Couchsurfing to me is all about the human experience and getting a real taste of the local lifestyle.

Interests

Design, art, creativity, curiosity, traveling and learning. That sums up most of my life.

Adventure, spontaneity, randomness. Smiling to strangers.

Reading & sleeping in the sunbeam. Knitting, cooking gingerbread cookies, laughing, dancing at the grocery store. Being happy over simple things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Massive Change, by Bruce Mau

As a teenager I read all of the Anne of the Green Gables and she definitely inspired the young at heart adult I am becoming.. she's the first one who taught me how normal it could be not being normal.

I remember one movie that really stayed in my mind for a while when I saw it was 99 Francs, a French movie based on the novel of the same name. I watched it when I was starting to realize how much of a love-hate relationship I have sometimes with design and I think it just touched me more because I could see why the main character would say "I hope that you will hate me so that it makes you hate the era that created me".

The science of sleep, Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain, Cafe de Flore. J'ai tué ma mère, Les invasions barbares, M. Lazhar. Into the wild, Fight Club, American history X, Edward scissorhands, all the superhero movies and most of all, all the Disney's I grew up with. And way to many more.

I listen to a lot of different things, right now mostly folk & indie, alternative music and sometimes, some old rock like our parents used to listen when they where our age.
