About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"To love the world and all that lives in its rainy arms"

ABOUT ME

I'm outgoing, energetic and talkative. I love being outside, reading, and traveling. Growing up, I lived on a farm (which means that nothing grosses me out). I studied biology for undergrad and then did the Peace Corps in Ecuador (so I can sleep literally anywhere). Now I'm studying Developmental Psychology at UC San Diego.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've driven across the country twice and couchsurfed both ways.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed in Mississippi, The Grand Canyon and Albuquerque, Memphis and more.

Interests

I love reading, being barefoot, speaking Spanish, riding horses, playing in creeks, cooking, staying up all night talking, going to new places.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching the sunset over the valley from the mountain where I lived during Peace Corps with the kids in my village.

I love this line from Gravity's Rainbow: "She's still with you, though harder to see these days nearly invisible as a glass of lemonade in a twilit room...still she is there, cool and acid and sweet, waiting to be swallowed down to touch your deepest cells, to work among your saddest dreams."

Teach, Learn, Share

In San Diego, I live with my boyfriend only a couple of blocks from the ocean (you can see a speck of it from our window!). I can offer beach chairs and umbrellas, a big air bed/comfy couch and homemade smoothies.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you phrases in Quichwa, the indigenous language of the Ecuadorian Andes.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, Ecuador, France, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, United Kingdom
