About Me

Hello. My name is Isabelle. I´m 24 years old, student and hoping to make some awesome experiences doing couchsurfing :D

I live in a small town in nothwestern Germany and am doing my Master Degree at the University Paderborn.
I love animals, any kind of pets, actually. At weekends I work for a mexican restaurant as a waiter, I like to meet with my friends, partying, or just having a chat with my best friend with a good cup of coffee. In my free time I like to go running or go horse riding.

In 2015/16 I did a volunteer program in Costa Rica for 11 months. That was, next to an exchange student program in Canada in 2013, the first time of living in a different country for a longer period of time for me. And I have to say it was one of the best experiences I have ever made. Living and getting to know a different country, a different culture, new people who enjoy life to the fullest which I admired the most. Being happy with was you have and not reaching and fighting for something better. A bigger house, more more, the latest IPhone etc.

I try to keep that way of living in mind but it is dificult sometimes in society nowadays.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is actually my first time Couchsurfing. So far when I have been traveling in Costa Rica, Nicaragua or Panama or other places in the last years I have been staying in Hostels. But I´m kind of curious of the whole experience. I have friends who have done it and were thrilled by it. So here I am. Hoping to get to know cool people who are interested to get to know new people.

In march I´m visiting my friend in the US who is doing her exchange study program in Illinois at the moment. We meet up in Miami and would like to get to now the city, its best places to visit, the awesome nightlife (of course!!!), and of course YOU! I hope you give a couchsruf newby like me without many reference a chance to get to know you and having a great time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I actually do not have one kind of favourite music. It kind of changes all the time. Recently I like to listen to Latin music as well as German music. But honestly I love listening to all kind of music, Rock, Pop, House, Indie.

I do not watch a lot of movies, I mostly like to read. But I do not have any preference. Any movie is fine with me but no horror movies^^

I like to read a lot (also at times when I should be studying which I´m not proud of :D ).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing a volcano, seeing turtles hatch, sleeping under the stars, swimming with glowing fish

What I Can Share with Hosts

What can I share with my hosts? I´m not sure what I could share with my hosts. Even though I´m still young, and do not have the experience and knowledge of 40 year old, I think I have experienced some things not everyone has had the chance to and also like to shares those with others. I love getting to know new cultures, which I had the chance to do in my time in Costa Rica. It is super interesting getting to know different ways of live, different ways of ´normal everyday life´. And I think that is exactly one of the main ideas of Couchsurfing.T he opportunity to get to know new people, get to know new cultures, different ways of living, being openminded and just having fun and enjoying the time given to experience a new city and possibly having new friends.
