About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy life with incredible people

ABOUT ME

I am a French Canadian living in my hometown of Quebec city and studying entrepreneurship at the moment. I have lived one year in Brazil, one year in France and one year in Scotland, and those long stays allowed me to travel around and meet incredible people. I am a sucker for culture, especially pop culture from the last 70 decades. I have studied languages and art history and I just love to learn new things!

I love practicing languages, even if I make mistakes. I speak French, English, Spanish, Portuguese (though my Portuguese is not too good these days) and I'm trying to learn German (baby steps). I love meeting new people and getting to know a new country. I am a very easygoing, organized and fun person!

PHILOSOPHY

I don't really have a catch phrase that I use as my motto, but I do believe in living a life without regrets and full of stories to tell. I also think it's important to chill out in life, because sometimes people take things too seriously.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed with a wonderful person in Vienna, Austria. It was such a good experience, I will always remember it. What a kind soul!

I have hosted once when I was living in Scotland and the experience was extremely positive. We shared pancakes and interesting conversations.

Interests

I love travelling, eating, listening to music, reading, movies, partying and much more. I love nature and haved been lucky enough to see some amazing scenery around the globe. I am also very interested in visiting old places and museums. Ghost stories are the best.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Tarantino, Kubrick, Lynch (Twin Peaks is God). I love so many movies, it's hard to tell which ones I like the most, but let's say The Shining, Kill Bill, Pan's Labyrinth, Marie Antoinette, Mulholland Drive, Death Proof, Cry Baby, and much much more.

In music, oh there is so much that I love! It's very hard to say what is my favorite style, really, since I like many types of music. I love everything from the 50s and 60s rockabilly/blues era (Patsy Cline, Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley and so on). I love the 80s as well (Bow Wow Wow, The Smiths, New Order, Depeche Mode, Michael Jackson, The Cure, New Kids on the Block, etc.). And more modern artists too (Grimes, Susanne Sundfor, Lana del Rey, Christine and The Queens, The Knife, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, etc.). I love classical music too, my favorite composers being Chopin, Schubert and Brahms.

Finally, as for books, I love Jane Austen, Sherlock Holmes, Harry Potter and many others.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you French from Quebec (with authentic expressions!). I can tell you all about the Rococo style. I can give you travel advices and suggestions from what I experienced.

I'd love to learn how to cook things from other countries. I'd love to learn how to paint one day. I also love dancing, so if you can teach me some steps, that would be awesome.

I can share interesting conversations, food, music and my quiet abode.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you host me, I can tell you about the things I know or have visited. I can talk French with my funny accent, teach you some basic swing dancing moves and show you funny videos from Canada.
