About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Can´t get enough of all the beautiful, interesting people out there on the 5 continents

ABOUT ME

I´m a 29 year old girl (reaching 30 extremely soon!!!) living together with my Australian boyfriend. I'm enthusiastic about life, takes life challenges seriously but never (well, at least hardly ever ;) ) forgets the fun parts. I grew up in the countryside and love to spend time in nature, but loving Vienna at the moment.
I´m an occupational therapist, finished my MSc in Occupational Therapy recently (finally!). Supporting people to regain their capability to manage daily life is an awesome job- the clients teach me a lot and give me a lot of positive energy back...
At the moment I'm on maternity leave, expecting my first baby in August.
I love to travel AND to live in different places, I lived in Chile before and have a passion for travelling Latin America in general. At the moment I'm quite homely though, I guess that's what happens when a baby is on the way... ;)
I´m very tolerant and adaptable to different situations and people say that it´s easy to hang out with me. I´m a very passionate person who likes to turn her inside out, extroverted but sometimes quiet and a bit shy as well. Not to forget a bit moody sometimes, but usually that doesn't show that much ;)
I love having guests and am happy when the people who surround me are happy too!

PHILOSOPHY

My attitude is that seeing different countries all over the world is awesome but without getting in touch with the locals it´s just half as enjoyable! Only if you spend time with the people you can get to know the true character of a place!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting people, staying with people in other countries.
I can't promise to always host people, but whenever I have time I do. I'm also willing to meet people for a coffee or to hang out in a park for an afternoon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with a Swedish guy in Stockholm for nearly a week, and I can only say that I really liked it! I felt at home, was welcome warmly and my host took very good care of me. Further I stayed with a couple in Zagreb which I hosted again a few months later. I hosted a few very different people in my apartment so far, it was always a great pleasure to have them here, and they really spiced up my daily routines and made me feel like I'm on holiday (in my own house)!

Interests

I like cooking, having long breakfasts on weekends, sports (running, inline-skating, biking, tennis, swimming, hiking, skiing, Flamenco, balancing on slack lines...), reading Spanish books and speaking Spanish, going out with friends and exploring my environment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumping from 12 meters into a narrow little pool in a cloud forest in Ecuador; exploring Easter Island; having a huge spider in my face; moving to Chile for my boyfriend I hardly knew; seeing a group of balinese people carrying their dying friend up the island´s highest volcano to fulfill his last wish.

Teach, Learn, Share

Interchange speaking Spanish (I don´t want to lose my skills), play the guitar (I´d like to improve so bad but don´t have enough motivation by myself...), share some exciting recipes etc.
