Overview
About Me
Brazilian who grew up in Miami, currently living in New Haven, Connecticut. I'm a university student at Yale finishing my undergraduate degree in Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies.
I study inequality as it relates to women's issues, and am writing my senior project on the impact of labor law on domestic workers in Brazil. I love talking about politics, art, literature, and cinema.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting people is the greatest joy of traveling. When I go someplace new, I often take long walks and spend as much time as I can asking people about their daily lives and how they see the world. I'm couch surfing, because if I found other accommodations, I would be missing out on half the fun of traveling. I'm also couch surfing, because sky-high college costs in the U.S. mean that if I didn't couch surf, I would't get to travel at all!
On the flip side, I want people to couch surf here, because I think New Haven is a great place! I want to meet new folks, talk about the history, and get to know people who are passing through. Sometimes life is too busy, and I might be exceedingly hands-off, but I make a point to have one great conversation with everyone who comes by.

Teach, Learn, Share
Love to teach languages, want to learn how to live in the moment. Let's share a meal!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm always happy to contribute to the house by way of cooking, cleaning, spending time with children, or proofreading writing in English, Portuguese and Spanish. If we can find the ingredients where you are, we can have a home-made Brazilian meal!
