About Me

I am Isadora, 26 years old, currently finishing my master's in international relations
I am from Pelotas, I have lived for 5 years in Porto Alegre (my place on earth!), and I am currently living in São Paulo =)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been in couchsurfing for a long time, but I never had the opportunity to use it. I usually don't plan my trips way ahead and end up in traditional accommodations, booked at last minute. But I believe it is a ground-breaking idea, to expand the usual "friend's friend couch network" to a whole global community of couch surfing, world-exploring people!

Interests

I love places with nature, trails, waterfalls and beaches - anywhere I can get away from the noisy city and get some fresh air! I really love scuba diving - I will dive every opportunity I get!
Currently, I am also enjoying the fast, chaotic life at the huge city of São Paulo.

I travel to keep an open-mind, to question pre-conceived notions and to better understand the world and myself. When I travel to a new place, to visit must-go touristic places is just as important as just chilling at a local venue and feeling the place's rhythm.

And I live for good food =) From healthy vegan dishes to greasy burgers, from cheap street meals to sophisticated cuisine, from simple bread and cheese to spicy strong flavors, I love it all!!

Music, Movies, and Books

Rock (all kinds!) and Jazz (all kinds!) are my favourite genres, but I can be very eclectic. I also really like MPB and Maracatu (both Brazilian music), ska, reggae, and electronic music in parties.

I don't really have a list of favourite movies or books... the last movie I watched and loved was the Argentinian "El Ciudadano Ilustre" and the last book was "The Thing Around Your Neck", from Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (I simply love her!)
