Music:
I try to have an open mind about music. I've been trained to play classical guitar since I was young, which has definitely influenced my musical taste. I enjoy classical composers and and performers like Andre Segovia, Shostakovich, Palestrina, Rimsky-Korsakov, as well as contemporary composers such as Philip Glass and Arvo Part.

As far as popular music goes, I enjoy modern bands like Radiohead, Vampire Weekend, Arcade Fire, Grizzly Bear, The White Stripes, and St. Vincent, as well as classics like Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, and Elvis Costello.

Movies:
I really enjoy Wes Anderson - Life Aquatic is probably my favorite of his. Other directors I like include Quentin Tarantino, Woody Allen, and The Cohen brothers.

Books:
Some of my favorite classic authors are Charles Dickens, Alexandre Dumas, Joseph Conrad, Brahms Stoker, Jane Austen, Dostoyevsky, Tolstoy, and Kafka.

I also enjoy scifi/fantasy every now and then, Frank Herbert, Tolkien, Robert Jordan, R. A. Salvator and Madeleine L'engle.

I have been trained to play classical guitar since I was 3 years old. Since then I've played many times at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis and been featured on NPR's Performance Today.

I'd be happy to share my music with you, and I'd love to experience your music as well!

I also love to cook. My mother is from the Philippines and has taught me how to make a wide range of Filipino cuisine. I'd enjoy teaching you some recipes, as well as learning any of your own recipes!
