Overview
About Me
I am a musician, creative writer, community organizer, and avid chess player.
My professional background is in live entertainment and production, but in recent years I’ve diversified into social/community services.
I moved from the big city to a small, rural town, so going on adventures, experiencing different lifestyles, learning things and meeting interesting people have been a huge part of my life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Love to meet with many different kinds of people, live vicariously through others’ stories and to share my own. Diversifying one’s social circles leads to greater learning and a more gracious perspective on the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
On my own, I listen to a fair bit of acoustic-rock, folk, jazz-adjacent & groove-based, and vocal/choral music, but it really thrills me to listen to live music or to listen with people to their originals or favourites—any kind of music, even noise/experimental.
When it comes to movies, I have my preferences (sci-fi, comedy, psychological, animated, action/adventure), although sometimes surprises work best.
I’m into non-fiction articles and podcasts, especially scientific or anecdotal (especially Atlas Obscura). I love reading people’s original works, whether those are poetry or stories or even opinion pieces. Once in a blue moon I might get pulled into a novel—used to be big on YA dystopian.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Conceived a mixed-format live musical documentary about my small town
Teach, Learn, Share
Ask me about the PAC System or Theory of Configurative/Executive Neurotypes!
I love learning about what drives people, and what people are passionate about, or what people feel the world around them needs.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Songs, stories, ideas, gifts (depending on the trip), new connections. I am a very engaging and stimulating presence but also maybe we can play a game or just hang out.
These kinds of exchanges are also very inspirational to me, so don’t be surprised if I ask to write something for or with you!
I do my best to be as respectful as I can to my hosts and their spaces/environments and hours.
