Overview
About Me
I am a student who cares deeply about my surroundings. I want to gather as much knowledge as I can so that I can make informed decisions about my actions.
I am currently studying History, Anthropology, and Native American Studies at Montana State University. I have focused my studies on responsibly and ethically working on issues of importance to people of other cultures, especially the larger social trends that can be observed through history.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think that the best way to learn about a culture is to meet the people who exist in it. Staying in a big place where nobody is local defeats that purpose. I also love good conversations!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love most music, really. I don't care much for anything that is too loud or aggressive, and I prefer singer-songwriters to death-metal bands.
I'm really not a big "favorites" guy. I appreciate good movies though, and I've seen a lot.
I enjoy books that contain relevant information about problems that society faces today, as well as theoretical pieces. Recently, I've read: The Omnivore's Dilemma, Michael Pollan; The Structure of Scientific Revolutions, Thomas Kuhn; and Mountains Beyond Mountains, Tracy Kidder.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Just get me talking, I have some pretty cool stories.
