A 21 year old swede spending a gap travelling around in Latin America. I hope that other people would think of me as a person that is positive, open and above all extremely curious about how other people think and their way of life.

Although I love hiking, running, looking at waterfalls and do all the other touristy things, what I by far find the most interesting is getting to know people from different places. Getting to know another culture can open up so many different perspectives. I know it sounds crazy but the best way to do that would probably be to actually get to know and talk to people from that place!

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I have never tried Couchsurfing before but every time when I have traveled and stayed with somebody who actually lives in a place it has made things much more rewarding. For example is one of my best travel memories from when I hiked in Morocco and took the wrong path and ended up in a Berb village in the middle of nowhere. There a family, that did not speak a word of English, invited me for dinner and to stay the night. We sat up all night gesturing, drawing and pointing in order to converse. They also showed me around the village, introduced me to all their neighbours and took me to a hidden waterfall nearby.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

To observe Volcán de Fuego having eruptions for a whole night from the top of a nearby volcano was incredible. This was by far the most scary, but at same time most astonishing, thing I have ever seen.

I can cook meals, help with cleaning or just an interesting conversation. I can also help with English (or Swedish in case somebody is interested ;) ). Whatever you need!
