About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"The idea is to die young as late as possible!"

ABOUT ME

I am a very curious person, easily excited and interested to learn as much as possible about the places I vist and the people I meet.

PHILOSOPHY

"Get rich or try sharing!"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Whenever I travel, I am mostly interested in people - how they live, what their perspective is of the country the live in, how they feel about the politics / social issues in their country and so on. I think this is the best way to get a real picture of a county, besides the beautiful landscape.

Also, I love the idea of "sharing is caring". However, because of my busy schedule I am unfortunately not able to host too often. I only want to host when I have time to show someone around or have a few beers with them. And after the first hosting experience with CS I got a bit disappointed. However, I still host quite a lot, but normally not with CS but through an all-european network of friends :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed couches in quite a few countries by now - not always with CS though. Sometimes I slept at the place from a friend from a friend from a friend..... Same goes with hosting. I hosted way more people who were friends of friends of friends or just friends who I met while traveling or organizing shows than CS-members.

Interests

Books: I love to read a lot, so I always carry a book with me. I see books as a means to dive into another world. I can discover something good in nearly every book, but I prefer to read books with characters with whom I would like to have a conversation.

Food: I love to eat, but even more I love to cook and bake myself! Always vegan and preferably in company of friends.

Sports and outdoors: I love being active and exploring nature.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Nearly everything from Brecht, Orwell, Borchert, Böll, Herrendorf, Kaminer, Lewycka, Adorno, Hosseini, Dostojewskij, Vonnegut, Gillian Flynn and many, many more. And I am truly in love with Harry Potter!

Movies: Train de vie, Requiem for a dream, Parada, Fight Club, ...
Series: The Bridge, Fargo, Orange is the new black, Peaky Blinders, La Casa del Papel

Music: I can enjoy nearly every kind of music, depending on my mood. But my great love is Hardcore-Punk.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Would be an endless list. I am so grateful for so many things I have done in my life!
