About Me
Hi!
I'm Isa, 25 years old; I'm Brazilian, but I have been in the U.S for the past year. I lived here for 18 months between 2011 and 2013. In D.C., I work as an Au Pai, and sometimes I work as a journalist writing about soccer (just for the experience and no money).
This Summer I will be covering the Copa America in Philadelphia and in Boston.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to know more about the American Culture and see as many cities as I can, and Couchsurfing helps me with that.
Interests
I think I have my fingers in too many pies, but here I go.
I like music, books, video games, photography, sports, movies.
In the past few years, I tried a little bit of everything; I tried to learn programming (and failed), Finished college but was working with something entirely different than my major and here I am as an Au Pair.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is hard it depends on my mood. Usually, I go from rock to old songs.
Movies, My favorite movie is G.I.Jane, I love a "strong female character" movie. But I will sit to watch a chick flick or Fast and Furious any time.
Books, almost anything, if I pass the first 3 chapter I will probably finish it. I volunteer at a library three times a week, and if I am not on a soccer field watching a game or working I will be at the library.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I left my family, my job, my car, my home, my country to become an Au Pair (again) so I could take classes and get an unpaid internship as a journalist.
It is silly for some people, but I think it is amazing, I have got so many opportunities to grow as a person and as a journalist, my English is getting better day by day...
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm more than happy to share a bit from Brazil and maybe teach my favorite sweet, Brigadeiro.
