About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Those who stand for nothing, fall for anything.

ABOUT ME

I'm happy, positive and easy-going - I've got a lot of time and energy for people. I like to talk and find out about other lives,I'm pretty unguarded and social by nature and will fit in with plans wherever they happen to take me...

I like to find some peace in a good book when I'm on my own. Love listening to and playing music - watching live music, staying up late, talking about the world, eating good food and drinking a beer or some red wine... I love little old pubs and cider as much as sparkly cocktail bars in the centre of town.

So I'm confident enough to get around on my own and always looking to keep finding other good things. I don't see couchsurfing as a free hostel - if I wanted a hostel I'd go to one! I don't use couchsurfing on every trip but if I travel alone I like to find a little company in like minded people - and learn some new things and see a place from the point of view of someone who knows it. If you stay with me I would expect you to have a similar philosophy - we can chat and hang out and I can show you Bristol but please don't use my home as a just free nights sleep!

PHILOSOPHY

Live long and prosper!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can stay with you, and you can stay with me :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Travelling alone is a cool way to see the world. Finding some company along the way is a cool way to get to know the world in more detail.

Interests

Music - listening and playing, all sorts but acoustic blues is right up there. Reading, writing, the arts, making up plans that may or may not ever come to fruition... I like debating. Exploring, culture, challenges. I like performance - like political satire and comedy. I love watching films - good ones and crap ones.

Music, Movies, and Books

Fav films - The Man Who Cried, Dangerous Liasons, Empire of the Sun has got to be up there. I can't possibly think of a favorite book - but the last one that made me laugh out loud was Captain Corelli's Mandolin. I love music, mostly blues - but audioslave, muse, radiohead, led zepplin, eliza carthy, ian siegal, faithless, rolling stones, maybe a bit of depech mode, tori amos, system of a down, bob dylan, alela diane, bon iver, brett dennen, chuck profit, florence and the machine, mumford and sons, gotta have a bit of folk in there too but depending on moods and situations I'll listen to most stuff - I draw the line at Jedwood...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Too difficult a question! I had an amazing time riding around in Vietnam - it was a bit of a dream.

Teach, Learn, Share

I reckon I could teach a drama game or 2 to those who are willing :) Mostly I'm happy to share conversation and experiences
