HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to do practical tasks like cleaning, cooking a meal for us to share, or helping you fix things around your place! Sharing wonderful stories and making amazing breakfast smoothies are also ways i love to participate with those around me :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

my experience is mostly from having other people stay at my place.. though more through word of mouth; not yet through Couchsurfing.com, which i'm looking forward to doing! My house is always full of extra people, and I love it that way :) I've also done a lot of housesitting, and always love caring for someone else's space.

兴趣

Swimming, dancing, crafting, reading, writing, singing, long talks with good people while enjoying strong coffee :) I love hiking, especially in the North Shore Mountains near Vancouver, BC, and am in love with yoga! I love walking for hours in the city and am happiest on a dance floor, a yoga mat, or on a train to a new place!

music: everything from gangsta rap to country, classical to hard rock, bangra to folk music, with a bit of gospel thrown in there too :) although the beatles and fleetwood mac are my favourite groups, nothing gets me in the heart quite like hiphop. artists - dead prez, tupac, jurassic 5, the beatles, fleetwood mac, carly thomas, Sauti Sol, hey ocean, martin sexton, jason mraz, david gray, natalie merchant, tribe called quest, lamb, frou frou, massive attack, lady sovereign, lady saw, beanie man, dixie chicks, ayub ogada, so many more...

movies: i don't do horror. i do love cheesy chick flicks, psychological thrillers, historical fiction, documentary, indie films.. pretty open to new genres. just don't do super scary since i already have an over-active imagination... out of africa, ordinary decent criminal, usual suspects, crash, a day without a mexican (wicked, wicked movie!), Step Brothers (yes, i laugh my ass off every time)... so many more....

books: some of my favourites are - The Witches of New York, The Alice Network, anything by P. G. Wodehouse, Adrian Plass, Ami McKay or Malcolm Gladwell, and plenty plenty more...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I turned 17 camping in the desert of northern Kenya. the landscape there is one of the most magnificent I've seen. I was charged by a buffalo on the side of Mount Longonot, in the Rift Valley.. and I once saw a grey whale in an inlet in the middle of Downtown Vancouver :)
