About Me

My Name is Isabel, Im 26 years old, finished my bachelor in early childhood education. 2016 I started working in a refugee children centre for a while and currently I´m studying my masters in outdoor and adventure education with the mission to connect kids with nature, to the environment, teach respect for our beautiful planet and its beings, and promote a commitment to lifelong learning!
I deeply appreciate the beauty, magic & stillness of nature~ the simplicity of rural living.
Soo...I´m trying to spend most of my time outside of houses and I´m the happiest person, being surrounded by nature.. and yess, trees. They can teach us a lot:
stay grounded.
Connect with your roots.
Turn over a new leaf.
Bend before you break.
Enjoy your unique natural beauty.
Keep growing. Always.

On my hobby-list you can find: kayaking, swimming, surfing, climbing and all sorts of activities outside, which make me feel alive. I might be kind of unorganized with things and...I don´t really know whats going to happen in the future..and get a little scared about whats happening to our planet and ecosystem..but you know ..in the end you are only capable of your own life and try to live the best life you can... for you and for others- all I know is: I want to appreciate and enjoy the small things in life..and I simply decided to be happy with whatever happens- because first of all: nothings gonna change or can be moved with negativity or through fear, second: Its healthy to be happy, and last one: life is simply too short to be negative or down....and it makes your hair turn grey..so, lets be greatful for what you have now, right?
And.. what is more important in that only life we have- than feeling vitality and joy?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have traveld and worked in Indonesia and Thailand for 4 months last year... I had a great time but I don´t really fancy tourism so I got stuck in a beach bungalow on a little Island, bought a bike and settled in a yoga retreat for a while... I could have stayed there forever but then I had to answer the call of duty..
Before that, I have lived in New Zealand for 12 months and there, I found my second home. Im planing to go back to live there one day. But as long as I´m finishing off my master degree, I´m keeping the ways short and traveling around europe a bit.
I like getting to know new cultures and different ways of living as well as being inspired by positive, open and spiritually minded, spontaneous and creative people- as I would kind of describe myself...

My next trip is starting next week. I´m going to Portugal for the summer (July until September) ..and would be very happy to live the moment with you, spend some time of my trip together and make some great memories.

Lots of love, Isabel
