ABOUT ME
My name is Isi, I'm 25 years old and I'm from Austria.
Since I was a little child I always wanted to "explore" the world, get to know other places, cultures and languages. And I still want to. :)
My longest experience in a different country so far was in 2010/11, when I studied in Russia for almost a year. (Well, most of the time I wasn't just "studying" there, actually. At least not at university.:))For me, it was one of the most exciting and impressing experiences of my life. I was really lucky to get a deep inside into the "Russian soul" living together with Russian students. I still love to go back to "my" Nizhny Novgorod, meeting my friends there, going back to the places I've had so much fun. For me that's the way I want to explore a country - by being in touch with the "real life" there. That's why I love the idea of couchsurfing so much.
Apart from travelling I love spending time with my friends, going out, having a good time. I'm a funny, spontaneous person. I think I always try to give my best and be there for someone who needs my help, especially for my friends. I really like to laugh, but you can have serious conversations with me, too. Sometimes I can be a little sarcastic and chaotic. But just sometimes. :)
Well...I guess that's everything so far, for further information we need to meet in "real life".:)
PHILOSOPHY
Never give up. Everything happens for a reason. You just have to figure out for what reason.
Live and learn. Cry and then laugh again.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surfed and hosted a few times but wasn't really that active. From February until July 2014 I was studying in Leiden/Netherlands and became part of the couchsurfers there, regularly joined events. There I discovered that Couchsurfing isn't just about finding a place to sleep, it's a whole new world with open-minded people who want to share experiences. Without couchsurfing my semester in the Netherlands wouldn't have been the same. So thank you, Couchsurfing!
