About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Right now I am participating in the TAPIF program, teaching english to high school level students in Beauvais, France. When I have free time I'd like to see more of France, as well as Europe.

ABOUT ME

I grew up and have always lived in the Pacific northwest of the US, but my mom lives in China so there's been a lot of traveling back and forth and everywhere in between to see her. She is the person who inspired my love of exploring. Traveling is when I'm happiest, gaining new perspective and working towards happiness. I'd rather be broke and on the road than at a desk somewhere stacking paper.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm looking to live a good story. I've noticed that a lot of travelers are looking to get away from something behind them, and while that definitely applies to me, I like traveling because it gives me things to look forward to constantly.

I believe in generosity and empathy. I am not always a patient person, or punctual, but those are both qualities I really admire in others. I am a humanist, and in general I think we could all be a little nicer to eachother.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Looking to make friends while traveling, and maybe crash a few couches. Sadly I can not host right now where I am living, but I hope to when I return to Seattle.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I left a piece of myself on the beach in St. Kilda, Victoria. Looking forward to getting it back one day.

Teach, Learn, Share

It is completely possible to open a wine bottle with your shoe (but I do not advise it because the success rate is very low).

On that note, carry a wine key everywhere if you want to be well liked.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I cook! I clean! I'm not a terrible conversationalist. :)
